So where on earth are you? And where on earth do you want to discover today.

To understand the story of “Where on Earth R U” read on, otherwise head straight to the maps to be entertained.

The idea began in January 2006 when Sydney project manager, Ed Jacka, had time to browse the Internet. With nothing specific to search, he wanted to read the Internet like a magazine, pick it up, flick through and browse interesting websites to learn something new about the world.

Ed realised there was just one problem:

"The Internet has 85 million websites. Keyword searching for the casual browse is too ‘hit and miss’ to be enjoyable,”

“What I really wanted was a casual, magazine-style read“.

“Where on earth R U” was developed to collect a range of interesting websites from around the world and display them on their territory – their own special piece of the world map.

Ed believes this is the ultimate ‘coffee-table’ website. The one you will want to “pick-up” and enter to discover the fascinating insights of the world you live in.

Visitors to the Where on Earth RU.com site will learn about indigenous tribes in the jungle of Indonesia, a traveller’s trek through Nepalese villages, adventure travel tour, heli-ski adventures in British Columbia, find the best travel websites, huge cattle stations in outback Australia or amazing traditions in places you didn't know existed. The scope is endless...∞

As momentum builds, this clickable atlas will fast become a unique gateway for web surfers to explore the world's interesting websites and ultimately create a unique picture of the world.
